When I’m not X I’m Y

When I’m not working, I’m tending to my dozens of children, MEANING my two children and dozens of plants. I am an amateur gardener and have a moderate obsession with house plants. I have always had the desire to understand how things are made and grown. Did you know loofahs are a type of squash?

What do you do when you’re stuck?

Typically, I will step away from what “stuck” me and find something to pour myself into. This generally results in off-the-wall hobbies (e.g. crocheting fairy wands, sewing sock puppets) that force me to work with my hands and give my brain some space to solve the original problem.

Early bird or night owl?

Early bird! I hate to waste the sunshine. However, Netflix binge-watching may be my kryptonite.

What’s one thing you’re learning now?

Everything! When you have a toddler asking “why?” followed by “but why?” on a constant loop, you realize how much you do not know about the world or the everyday things around you. Luckily, our BFF Alexa can help us answer the barrage of questions on the daily.
